In stunning fashion, the annual celebration of new Fellows will take place in the Donald R. Seawell Grand Ballroom located in the Denver
Center for the Performing Arts, on Saturday, September 13th 2008. Once again, our event coincides with the ABA's Section of Labor & Employment Law's CLE Conference and is conveniently located within walking
distance of the Section's hotel, The Westin Tabor.
Founded in 1972 and dedicated to excellence in the arts, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is a showcase for live theatre,
a nurturing ground for new plays, a preferred stop on the Broadway touring circuit, an award-winning multi-media production facility, a national training school for actors, and the site of a voice clinic and
research facility.
The Seawell Grand Ballroom was designed by Roche Dinkeloo and Associates of Hamden,
Connecticut, whose principal architect, the Pritzker Award-winning Kevin Roche, also designed the performing arts complex with his partner, the late John Dinkeloo. The $16 million cost was
paid by the Helen Bonfils Foundation as a gift to the city. It was named for the DCPA's founder and chairman, Donald R. Seawell.
The pentagonal-shaped room affords a magnificent panoramic view of the Denver west skyline
and the Rocky Mountains while thousands of fiber-optic lights twinkle in the unique undulating-wave form ceiling.
Denver is a vibrant city with 300 days of annual sunshine and year-round adventure with the
breathtaking Rocky Mountains in their backyard. Please visit www.Denver.org , "10 things to
